| PA DeMolay News - Delaware Valley Chapter Aids Families with Stockings |
| Author: Bro. Jonathan Webster |
On December 21st, Delaware Valley Chapter members Jonathan Webster and Tyler Bausinger, along with prospect Joe Berendsohn (who became a brother on December 23rd), joined Morrisville Assembly No. 107 Rainbow and Pledge girls at The Salvation Army, Levittown Corps, to pack and sort stockings for needy boys and girls. According to Jonathan Webster, Acting Master Councilor for the newly re-established Delaware Valley Chapter, “This is my 6th year of participating in the stocking project and it is always special to be able to work with my fellow brothers in DeMolay to help those in need.”
The funds to buy items for the stockings were provided by Morrisville Assembly No. 107 which collected over $1,300 in donations from local Lodges, OES Chapters, and Amaranth Courts. The purchased items were taken to The Salvation Army’s facility, where together DeMolay and Rainbow spent over 4 hours packing 390 stockings. On December 23rd, some of the members returned for the 7 hour distribution of stockings, food, and toys for those less fortunate.
“Because of the economy, there was a |

tremendous need in our community this year and our youth stepped up to the plate to make a difference in the lives of others,” according to JulieAnn Ody, Resource Development Manager of the Levittown Corps.
It was a great way to work together with the Rainbow girls on a service project that impacted so many children in our community. Over 1,200 stockings were handed out to children in need this Christmas. Everyone who participated is looking forward to doing it again next year. |
