On May 15, 2010, members of Westmoreland Chapter teamed up with members of Irwin Assembly No. 42, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and Steel City Chapter to help the Tall Cedars of Westmoreland Forest No. 77 raise monies for Muscular Dystrophy research. The young men and women, who were assisted by their advisors, walked at the Pittsburgh Zoo in support of the MDA’s Ride & Stride. The group raised over $600.00 to help fight Muscular dystrophy by the end of the event. Everyone had a great day and the groups already want to start planning for next year with a goal of raising even more money! It is great to see the DeMolay and Rainbow work together to walk for kids that can not walk for themselves.
