On Saturday, August 7, 2010, approximately 35 Masonic Youth from the Philadelphia Region and their prospects gathered at the Philadelphia Sports Club located in Chalfont, PA, to enjoy a day of fellowship and fun. The facility was fantastic! The activities included “rock climbing” on a wall, Wii games, Dance Dance Revolution, basketball, jousting, laser tag, and more!
The event was sponsored by the Officers and Members of Fritz Lodge #308, Conshohocken, PA, and hosted by Penn Valley Rainbow Assembly. All you can eat refreshments were provided such as baked goods, pizza, soda, water, and ice tea. The organizations converged on the sports club for 4 hours and had a great time. Members from 4 DeMolay Chapters, 2 Rainbow Assemblies and 1 Job’s Daughter Bethel participated. Each group enjoyed the company of one another as the games began.
The most popular game was laser tag as everyone wanted to play as a team against the other teams. The sports club also featured other rooms dedicated to dodgeball, volleyball, racquetball, and rock climbing. Members really enjoyed the wide selection of activities and games which included pinball machines, air hockey, and sports car racing.
Clean up was a snap because the members joined to quickly tidy up at the conclusion of the event. The employees of the Sports Club complimented the members for their sportsmanlike conduct and for helping clean up. Everyone agreed, "a good time was had by all."
On behalf of the Masonic Youth, our thanks to the Officers and Members of Fritz Lodge #308 for making this fun night possible.
