| Pilgrim Chapter has slid into the new year with a community service project in Harrisburg . The Neighborhood Center UMC, located just a few blocks from where the Chapter meets, has served the uptown neighborhood, as well as the total Harrisburg community, since 1910 with educational, cultural, social service, basic needs, leadership, and recreational programs for children and their families. The center has a large playground used by the children of the community and the Center. Members of the Chapter helped to clean up the leaves left on the playground from last fall. Neighbors watching the cleanup event thanked the chapter for helping to make the playground look a little nicer. Keeping it green , "Dad" Tracy Bitner, "Mom" Janice Moyer, and a few members unloaded a truck load of leaves at the local leaf compost site, and the other truck load was taken to "Mom" Larkin's vegetable garden. |
